Description
The Longevity petition (长寿符) belongs to the oldest layer of the tradition — a request for length of years, and for those years to remain fruitful. It is often drawn for a parent or elder rather than oneself.
Drawn in cinnabar on ritual paper and consecrated by hand, with the name of the person it is drawn for inscribed during writing.
